Chances are if you're in school to become a pharmacy technician, you're already busy with studying, taking tests, attending classes, externships, and maybe even work on top of all that! Who has time to look up resources with all of that going on?
In an effort to save you time, below are five great resources for pharmacy technician students.
PharmacyTechCE provides continued education for members in the form of podcasts, webinars, on-demand information, and presentations that you can download and read. There is a cost for individual and group membership; however, their site includes a "resources" page that is completely free.

The ASHP (American Society of Health-System Pharmacists) online is an extensive resource for any Pharmacy Technician student. If you become a member, they will provide you with practice tools and resources, opportunities to get involved with the rest of the medical community, and professional discounts once you become a Pharmacy Technician

3. NAPB
The NABP (National Association of Boards of Pharmacy) "supports the state boards of pharmacy in protecting public health." They work with state organizations to provide all of the state specific information regarding policies and regulations to pharmacy technicians.

If you want to get involved, you can offer to volunteer with the NABP as a member of a taskforce or a committee. Their membership is limited and strictly regulated.
AAPT (American Association of Pharmacy Technicians) is another membership organization for Pharmacy Technicians. Their membership is $15 annually for students and with it you get free continuing education and access to the entire site where you can network with other pharmacy techs and read and discuss pharmacy trends & news.
Their site provides free career services (without a membership) where you can post your resume and search and apply for jobs.

PTCB (Pharmacy Technicians Certification Board) provides students with information on the process of applying for and renewing their certification. They have a free practice test and a link to purchase additional practice tests to study for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam.
If you are already certified, you can renew and take continuing education courses from their website. They also have a tool to verify that your certification is current.
Lastly, the "Who We Serve" and "Resources" sections offer links to other Pharmacy Technician organizations, including the state Boards of Pharmacy.
